Chicago Flatwater Classic was "Awesome"! ! !

"It was Awesome!" That was the consensus from the group that braved the 200 mile, 3 hour car ride down from Rockford, MI to paddle in the 10th Annual Chicago Flatwater Classic! Powers Outdoors Adventures had 8 paddlers in our group this year, hailing from Rockford and Grand Rapids, MI. The Group had a start time of 11:28am on the perfect day, which was mostly sunny and 64 degrees. All of the paddlers received a POA Support Bag upon finish, a lunch from Goose Island Brewery, and a Flatwater Classic T-shirt. Thanks again to the Friends of the Chicago River for putting on such a great event. We are happy to be a part of it, and glad we can do our best to help clean up the Chicago River. If you would like to help donate, please click HERE.

Flatwater Classic This Sunday!

Our fearless group from Michigan is about to embark on a Looooong journey!! Off to the Windy City to paddle the Chicago River. We will be sure to post some pictures of the Flatwater Classic. POA will be at the end of the Race with a Booth to support our group and the Friends of the Chicago River.
